Surrey Cricket Coaching Programme 2009-2010...

Surrey Cricket runs one of the most comprehensive and successful coaching programmes in the country. The main aims of the courses are:

  1. To enable as many children as possible to have the opportunity to play cricket and to provide exit routes for these children to then play in local cricket clubs, hopefully developing a lifelong passion for the game.
  2. To identify those young girls and boys with talent in order to develop them through our Performance Programme.

Courses are run for 10 weeks between October and December and again between January and March each year and are complimented by courses during the Christmas, East and Summer Holidays. The courses are open all - girls and bouts aged 5 to 16 years old. Surrey Cricket also run some girls only courses.

  • Mark Butcher U6-U8 Courses
  • Mark Ramprakash U9-U10 Courses
  • Alec Stewart U11-U13 Courses
  • Graham Thorpe U14-U16 Courses

The courses as you can see are named after some great players at Surrey, and please note that the players do not coach on the programme.
