Batting..

Remember all batters only have one chance; the bowler has a minimum of 6 per over!!

So choose your shot wisely

Batting Basics..
Any batting shot can be broken down in to five stages or phases - Setup, Backlift and Step, Stable Base,  Shoulder rotation and contact.

  Front View Side View
Setup
Grip and Stance

Backlift & Step
Both at the same time and should be done in as the bowler is about to let go of the ball (this is known as the point of release)
Stable Base
notice eyes level and  head is still and forward and over front foot, and ultimately over at point of contact.

Shoulder Rotation
Vertical shoulder rotation for the option of maximum power at point of contact. Notice all in line and no gap between bat and batter.
Contact
or to be polite hit the ball or should we say say smash it if not a defensive shot.
